Huckabee win girds New Jersey supporters

Coming off a primary victory in Iowa, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's New Jersey representatives are gearing up to play a bigger role in driving their candidate toward the White House.

"In the face of overwhelming resources and negative campaign advertisements, the Republican voters of this country will show that they are thirsting for sincerity and honesty in a presidential candidate," said campaign spokesman Peter Kane of Summit. "New Jersey Republicans will rally to this cause on February 5th. Mike Huckabee represents a clear, clarion call to changing this country in 2008."

His chief organizer on the ground here who has so far held diner meet-ups with core supporters and coordinated a successful ballot signature drive, Kane said Iowa voters rewarded Huckabee for running a substantive campaign that avoided personal attacks.

"Mike Huckabee's resounding victory in Iowa shows the power that a genuine, positive message of hope and clear moral leadership can unleash," said Kane.

I hate to break this to the Huckabee supporters, but I think John McCain has distant second in New Jersey locked up.:-D

All the Iowa Caucus proved was that 60% of the GOP caucus goers were evangelical christians who chose one of their own. Last I checked, 60% of New Jersey Republicans are not evangelical christians.

Iowa is seldom ever an accurate barometer for determining a Presidential nominee. Ultimately, it is going to be Florida that ends up being the make or break state in the race.

I agree Dino

Yet, the 40% of evangelicals will vote in bloc and the rest will waste our votes on Rudy and the other dwarves.  The way the County Chairs have been acting, the earlier Primary will be a moot point.

Huck 'l be the Nominee

After watching the debates, I am convinced that Huck is head and sholders above the others on the following:

1 He is likeable, warm and articulate. We have not had an articulate President since Reagan.

2 He wants to rid the country of our internal terrorist organization the IRS. I'm a CPA and fed up with the tax code that violates the concept of "equality under the law." Why should everyone be taxed at different rates based on who is in power? Why shouldn't the drug dealers, prostitutes and illegals working for cash be paying their "fair share?"

3 He is committed to take on the Education system, which in New Jersey earned us our "Highest Taxes in the Nation" award.

4 He is willing to take on the EPA to make us energy independant and thumb his nose at the OPEC, which is gauging us and funding terrorists.

"He wants to rid the country

"He wants to rid the country of our internal terrorist organization the IRS."

Based on his fiscal record in Arkansas, I can't really say I believe the rhetoric.

He will probably focus more on his Bill Clinton strategy of playing his musical instrument on TV and at campaign stops to divert attention away from his disastrous record on fiscal issues in Arkansas.

Ronald Reagan actually DID amnesty. I think he would be in one of Mitt's negative commercials! - Rudy Giuliani

Huck the Yuck is shit outta luck in Blue Jersey.

Rudy's got a lock in Jersey folks, sorry but not even a day long revival is gonna send NJ into Huck's corrner.  Whereas Huck has the support of hardcore social Conservaitves he has no help from the National Security or Fiscal Conservatives(while Rudy gets help from all 3).  Sorry Huck.

I Like Mike

What a surprise, Guilliani and McCain are leading in New Jeresey.

Based on the charlatans the ignorant GOP leadership ushered into prominance, what could we expect? If either Guilliani or McCain are the GOP nominee, Barac Hussain Obama will be directing the greatest world power until he turns it over to the United Nations.
