WYCKOFF, NJ April 29, 2009- District 40 Republican Assembly candidate Anthony Rottino raised more than $32,000 last night at a fundraiser held at the Brick House in Wyckoff. Rottino, 44, of Franklin Lakes, is seeking the GOP nomination along with Joseph Caruso, 35, of Wayne for the two Assembly seats representing parts of Bergen, Essex and Passaic counties.. “I am very pleased by the generosity of the people who are supporting our campaign, and by the depth of support we are receiving,” said Caruso, a businessman and father of four. Support is coming from a many areas.” “Clearly, there is a mood for change in New Jersey. People are tired of the same old politicians who make the same old excuses about why they can’t bring real change to New Jersey. “Joe and I are not politicians. We don’t make excuses, we get things done and I think that is what is attracting people to our campaign,” said Rottino. Caruso said their District 40 supporters “want people who will go to Trenton and fight for suburbs. The taxpayers and homeowners are tired of being victimized by Trenton.” Caruso also noted that people are tired of career politicians. “Voters are gravitating to Anthony and I because we understand business and the economy and we aren’t integral parts of the political machine that operates New Jersey. “We both know how to create a business friendly state and how to create jobs. Our opponents do not. They are lawyers who have been living off of the government for years,” said Caruso
