“Arlen Specter finally woke up and realized he was in the wrong party, Assemblymen Rumana and Russo should do the same thing and let Joe Caruso and I represent Republican Party from District 40,” said Rottino.

Rumana – A Closet Democrat RUMANA SHOULD FOLLOW SEN. SPECTER’S LEAD AND JOIN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY – AND TAKE RUSSO WITH HIM WAYNE – Assemblyman Scott Rumana should take a page from the book of  the U.S. Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and switch parties.     Specter, a turncoat Republican who has voted for  Democrat big government initiatives, such as President Obama’s stimulus package finally jumped to the Democrat Party today, realizing he can’t win the Republican Primary  Election in Pennsylvania. “Now that Mr. Specter has come out of the closet and shown his true inclinations, I think it’s time for Scott Rumana to do the same thing and join the party that most clearly reflects his political philosophy,” said Joe Caruso, a Wayne business man. Rottino, of Franklin Lakes, labeled Rumana, along with his running mate, Assemblyman David Russo: “Corzine Republicans” for their near 80 percent support of the Democrat governor’s initiatives.   “Arlen Specter finally woke up and realized he was in the wrong party, Assemblymen Rumana and Russo should do the same thing and let Joe Caruso and I represent Republican Party from District 40 ,” said Rottino an entrepreneur with several businesses in North Jersey.    Caruso noted that Rumana supports the governor’s low income housing initiative; never once opposing the new constitutional right to a taxpayer subsidized affordable house that Corzine created last summer.   Rottino pointed out that both Rumana and Russo have  been supported public sector union bosses and in return keep giving generous pension and health benefit plans to public employees while the middle class people suffer.    ‘They are big government legislators who somehow wandered into the Republican Party. It’s time they wandered out,” said Rottino.   Caruso added that Rumana has taken large doses of campaign money from Democrat law firms and political action committees closely related to indicted Bergen County political boss Joe Ferriero.   “Scott Rumana is supported by the same people who have been helping Joe Ferriero beat Republicans in Bergen County.  There is no way he can explain that away. He’s in the wrong party.  He should stop masquerading as a Republican and join the party that suits his views,” said Caruso.

So True

Weak Republicans like Scott only enable the liberal Democrats. What Joe and Anthony would do is build a coalition with conservatives in the Democratic Party to get tax relief and pro-business policies passed. Has Scott ever sponsored anything successful thats helped New Jersey's economy?

I'm sure Captain Crunch will take time from rearranging the deck chairs on the S.S. Rumana to call all of us true Republicans boss-controlled Democrats, but alas it was Rumana who gave Bill Pascrell (who is still more conservative than he is) a donation in 1997 when the 8th District was still very competitive. Oh, and if Murphy's so bad why did Roland Straten show more improvement in Totowa over George Ajjan and Jose Sandoval than any other town?

So stupid..

Hope your having fun up there Dan...it's so easy to tell who you are on this website.

Ok so Backwards..

People like you are why the state is going backwards. Rather than try to work with level-headed Democrats to pass tax cuts and business incentives, people like you rather we stay in our exurban caves, forefeit contests in urban strongholds and whine "The Democrats are meannnn!" This is why many New Jersey voters cant relate or be excited by the Republican Party.

People like you are why we

People like you are why we never get anywhere as a party. You're always siding with the anti-factions thinking it's cool. Tell me Dan, based on his voting record how Scott Rumana is a liberal? I'm still waiting for an answer on that...

I suppose the lack of answer is because he is not a liberal, since this has nothing to do with ideology. This has everything to do with power and who controls it. And of course you side with the ones trying to gain it, maybe because you want a job, maybe because you fall for the same crap over and over again.

The campaign you support is simply one who argues over and over that Republicans aren't loud or angry enough. They are completely oblivious or just too stupid to realize they would never get anything passed either because of the legislative process. And yet they continue to argue that Assemblyman Rumana doesn't hate COAH enough, even though he opposed it and spoke out against it. It's a weak basis that exposes what your really after.

Of course it makes no sense seeing as how Republicans have struggled to win in Passaic, so you think the solution is to burn down the structure and replace it with another structure that will fail to win, and lose by greater margins. And once they gain power, if they ever do, you'll soon find yourself on the opposing side arguing they haven't done enough and wanting to take them down.

People like you can't imagine what it is to work together and concentrate on common goals, your always trying to burn the house down and purge the party rather than build it up. Year after year, candidate after candidate. Tell me, where has that gotten you?

Enjoy losing yet again...and even if you win, it's only a matter of time before you switch sides and rage against the "establishment" that you once supported.
