A Better Way to Govern

WAYNE NJ --Bergen County Republican Organization Finance Chairman Joseph Caruso has formed a committee  and opened a fundraising account to explore his candidacy for Assembly in District 40.

Caruso, a Wayne resident, has been considering a run for the Assembly seat held by Scott Rumana, who is also a Wayne resident and doubles as the Passaic County Chairman.

Caruso says that the Republican Party needs legislators committed to changing New Jersey into a taxpayer-friendly and business-friendly state.

"I have been behind the scenes in political campaigns the past few years and I know how to win and I believe I could offer something unique to Trenton – a Republican with business experience who will not pander to special interest groups," said Caruso.

Caruso said he is raising money to exploring the support he has if he decides to run in the June primary election against Rumana.  "So far, I am pleasantly surprised by the people willing to back me."
Caruso, 35, is the chief operating officer of a Lyndhurst based proxy solicitation firm.  He and his wife Tanya  have two children.
