CHAIRMAN YUDIN CALLS FOR CESSATION OF INTERNET WAR OF INSULTS
HACKENSACK, New Bergen County Republican Organization chairman Bob Yudin is calling oh his fellow Republicans to cease the war of words raging on the internet regarding his election Tuesday night.
Yudin issued the following statement:
My fellow Republicans, I understand the deep passion many of you have for politics. I appreciate that passion and encourage it – but I also ask that you use it in a constructive way. Many of the Internet posts and emails I have seen in the past few days -- coming from both sides of the debate about our party chairman’s election – are simply unacceptable to me and harmful to our party.
I ask that a cease fire be declared in the Internet war and that you all put your energies into rebuilding our party and restoring Republicans to a position of prominence and leadership in Bergen County.
There is no shortage of work to do for us to be successful in November. I ask that those with the time and the energy to engage in trading Internet insults, please find a new, more productive focus for their energies.
The election for chairman is over. It is time to put our differences aside and work as a team, a real, unified team working toward one goal -- to make the Bergen County Republicans successful in our local, county and state elections. For too long our party has been wracked by factions competing for the mantle of being the real Republican or the right kind of Republican. That must end and it will end.
I welcome all Republicans who are willing to work to advance the objectives of the party. I hold no grudges and I expect those who support me to do likewise. I assure those who did not support my candidacy that they are welcome and that their constructive thoughts and ideas will be respected. The time for fighting each other is over. It is time to challenge the Democrats.
