Hill: Guadagno/Bush Immigration Policy is Weak at Best
MONMOUTH COUNTY – Chief Hill, Democratic Candidate for Monmouth County Sheriff, denounced his opponent’s plan for dealing with illegal immigrants.
The Bush/Guadagno immigration proposal is a massive amnesty plan that would allow 11 million illegal immigrants to remain in the United States for six years.
The Bush/Guadagno immigration plan would allow illegal immigrants to be given biometric identification cards that allow them to travel freely between the United States and their home countries.
Guadagno’s Party admits that about 400,000 employees are using a single Social Security number, all zeroes, and still would allow them to remain in the United States. The Bush/Guadagno policy to grant legal status to undocumented workers would reward law-breakers.
“Guadagno's only issue is 287g for illegal immigrants,” said Hill. “Initially my opponent’s plan only dealt with illegal immigrants, and now she has morphed it to only criminal illegal immigrants. Quite simply – my opponent sides with President Bush and is weak on illegal immigration.”

"Never forget, some of those shouting the loudest are the architects of the disaster we are now suffering. Do we really want another decade of economic failure? No, this spring it is time to clear away the underbrush to make room for growth. So, today, we stop sweeping problems under the rug. We will not hide our problems until
another day. And we are certainly not increasing the tax burden we place upon our people. Today, we are taking necessary and decisive action to reduce state spending and reform state government. The problems we have hidden for twenty years are evident for all to see. The day of reckoning has arrived. Some are saying, by their choice of policies, that we should descend further into debt and deficit, and risk driving more people out of the state with “temporary” tax increases that always turn out to be permanent. I say we must face up to our responsibility." -- Gov. Christopher Christie
