Assemblyman Reed Gusciora, who is leading a grass roots campaign in New Jersey to draft Al Gore for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, says that the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the former Vice President is "one more demanding reason" why Gore should run for President.
"Al Gore continuously demonstrates his impact, strength and importance to our nation and the global community. His actions are those of a true statesman and I firmly believe his ability to provide real leadership for the American people is needed more than ever in The White House," said Gusciora. "Vice President Gore and the UN Panel on Climate Change have done an incredible amount of work to provide solid research on the causes and implications of the ever imminent threat of global warming."
Gusciora, a six-term Mercer County Democrat, announced his support for Gore last July.
