TRENTON – Governor Jon S. Corzine today signed the following bills into law:
S-1175 w/GR (Rice) – Requires certain districts to develop a program of after school activities and provides for voter approval of additional local funding
S-1880/A-3452 w/GR (B. Smith/Watson Coleman, Greenstein, Spencer, Tucker) – Establishes Criminal Sentencing and Disposition Commission to study and review the criminal law and recommend revisions; repeals existing commissions
S-2577/A-3772 w/GR (Sarlo, Vitale/Greenwald, Malone, Cruz-Perez) – Permits conversion of age-restricted housing units to non-aged-restricted housing units and modifies laws concerning affordable housing
A-2896/S-1968 (Cryan/Vitale, S. Kean) – Caps bids municipalities may require for certain hotel liquor licenses
A-3821/S-2720 (Watson Coleman, Evans, Johnson, Green/Rice) – Regulates mortgage foreclosure forbearance period and repeals section 18 of the “Mortgage Stabilization and Relief Act” to authorize lenders and creditors to exchange information concerning delinquent borrowers
A-4111/S-2955 (Watson Coleman/Turner) – Defines contractual salary for State employees in PERS or TPAF to include certain wage increases deferred from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011
