TRENTON - Governor Jon S. Corzine signed the following bills into law today:
S-441/A-473 (Rice/Green, Vas) – Requires free dissemination and Internet posting by DCA of Truth Renting booklet; appropriates $250,000.
S-2087/A-3372 (Sweeney, Turner/Fisher, Stack, Albano, Van Drew, Burzichelli) – Requires new State residents to register their vehicles in New Jersey.
A-3385/S-2589 (Wisniewski, Whelan/Sacco, Madden) – Permits certain motorcycle dealers to offer State-approved motorcycle safety education course.
A-3649/S-2576 (Wisniewski/Sacco, Karcher) – Establishes partial payment schedules and amounts to be retained by New Jersey Turnpike Authority from roadway work payments to contractors.
A-4257/S-2754 (Van Drew, Albano, Moriarty, McKeon, Panter/Smith, Asselta) – Appropriates $40 million from “Garden State Green Acres Preservation Trust Fund” for State acquisition of lands for recreation and conservation purposes.
A-4258/S-2758 (Fisher, Caraballo, McKeon, Conners, Hackett, Steele, Panter/Karcher, Buono) – Appropriates $11 million from “Garden State Historic Preservation Trust Fund” to provide grants for certain historic preservation projects.
A-4259/S-2756 (Moriarty, Fisher/Lesniak) – Appropriates $30,660,000 from “Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Fund” for farmland acquisitions, and appropriates certain bond funds for soil and water conservation grants. A-
4260/S-2755 (Conaway, Mayer, Fisher, Panter/Sweeney, Madden) – Appropriates $45.15 million from “Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Fund” for farmland preservation purposes.
A-4261/S-2741 (Bodine, Panter/Karcher, Bark) – Appropriates $15,375,000 from “Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Fund” for planning incentive grants to counties and municipalities for farmland preservation purposes. A-
4262/S-2760 (Panter, Burzichelli/Lance, Kavanaugh) – Appropriates $6 million from “Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Fund” for grants to certain nonprofit organizations for farmland preservation purposes.
