Senator Anthony Bucco, senior Republican on the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, has been selected Republican Budget Officer.
Senator Bucco will fill the seat left vacant when former Senator Leonard Lance resigned to take his seat in Congress earlier this year. Senator Bucco is the longest-serving Republican member on the Budget and Appropriations Committee, and he has extensive experience in developing both government and private sector budgets.
"It will be an honor to lead the Republican members of the Senate Budget Committee," Bucco said. "I have never worked with more-intelligent, harder-working public servants than my four colleagues on the committee. I am humbled to be their leader, and I am confident we will do great things for the people of the state of New Jersey."
Bucco is a respected business executive, and a public servant who voters have selected to represent them in the Senate, the Assembly, on the Morris County Board of Freeholders and as the Mayor of Boonton.
