Senator Steve Oroho, R-District 24, praised the bipartisan support that helped his successful effort to eliminate the job-killing "throwout rule" from state's business tax code. Governor Corzine is signing the business tax reform bill, A-2722 today.
"Small, medium and large businesses all said the throwout rule was seriously hurting New Jersey's efforts to retain and attract jobs," Senator Oroho said. "Repealing this unfair regulation is a great first step toward creating a tax climate that will help our economy to recover and grow.
"Senators Dick Codey and Steve Sweeney helped get this compromise bill to Governor Corzine's desk for a signature. This is the kind of cooperation that can move New Jersey forward to greater prosperity and success. I look forward to more bipartisan efforts to help New Jersey attract business and create jobs.
