Wyckoff, NJ – Republican leader and longtime Bergen GOP activist Bob Yudin (http://www.bobyudin.com), who is expected to capture the BCRO Chairmanship after a runoff on Tuesday, June 17, today outlined his plans for rebuilding the BCRO during his 2-year term.
"Change is in the air at the BCRO!" exclaimed Yudin, referring to his impressive 40% showing and the fact that a whopping 58% of Bergen Republican County Committee voted against the embattled incumbent, lobbyist Rob Ortiz.
Observers expect Yudin to sail to a resounding victory during the 1-on-1 runoff with Ortiz on Tuesday, June 17, given the overwhelming no-confidence vote in Ortiz’s leadership that took place yesterday.
For his part, Yudin is already planning for the post-victory stage, and offered a broad outline of his platform for rebuilding the Bergen GOP. "I plan to work closely with the District Chairs in 36, 37, 37, 38, 39 and 40, as well as the YRs and TARs to devise a strategy for winning back key municipalities. Also, we must ramp up the BCRO's communications & public relations both on-line and in the traditional media."
Yudin continued, "I intend to hold a monthly chairman's breakfast to foster leadership communication and openness, and to produce a monthly BCRO report to go out to county committee and party leaders informing them of BCRO activities.”
He added, "I will coordinate with the County Committee to create an unprecedented cultural outreach program, making our party a model of inclusion, because we need to actively embrace citizens of all ethnicities to better understand and represent the many diverse communities of Bergen County."
Bob Yudin is a Navy veteran, a successful small businessman, as well as a longtime Republican activist and donor. In addition to 2 elected terms on the Wyckoff Board of Education, Yudin served as Sicomac Engine Co. 3 Chief . He and his wife Susan Bograd Yudin reside in Wyckoff.
