Jersey City, NJ - New Jersey conservative Republican leader Dr. "Maverick Murray" Sabrin, the Garden State's strongest advocate of limited government and individual freedom and the front-runner for United States Senate, unveiled the striking similarity between Frank Gannett's political philosphy and Dr. Murray Sabrin's campaign to Legalize Freedom. In addition, Maverick Murray recommended to Gannett executives to ruturn to their constitutional roots to help boost circulation and revenue. Dr. Sabrin also released the email from the Managing Editor of the Asbury Park Press and challenged them to conduct a real poll of Registered Republicans to prove he is the front-runner to win.
Dr. Murray Sabrin stated, "The Founder of Gannett, Frank Gannett, would whole-heartedly endorse my campaign to Legalize Freedom. Frank was one of the Founders of ‘The National Committee to Uphold Constitutional Government' and ran for President on the same platform as The Sabrin Solution." Sabrin continued, "Frank was an innovator and great American and I am proud to carry forth his legacy of a humble foreign policy and the protection of the United States Constitution. If the editorial pages of the Gannett newspapers follow their Founder's lead, I fully expect the endorsement of the papers too."
Maverick Murray said, "As the employer of thousands of families throughout New Jersey, I would like to see the Gannett operation expand its circulation, readership and revenue. My recommendation would be for the editorial staff to return to the roots of its Founder instead of an expansive liberal philosophy." Sabrin continued, "Frank Gannett would be extremely dissappointed in the direction its editorial pages have taken over the years."
Dr. Sabrin stated, "As is evident with the attached email from the Managing Editor of the Asbury Park Press, there needs to be a more thoughtful exchange of ideas instead of empty rhetoric. Anyone reading this email would expect more from a first-year journalism student." Sabrin continued, "Any high school student studying statistics could clearly see the poll Mr. Schoening was trying to defend was incomplete and irrelevant towards the Republican Primary on June 3rd." Dr. Sabrin was referring to the inconsistancy of Gary Schoening's own email with regards to the upcoming United States Senate Primary (see email below).
Maverick Murray suggested, "Instead of Gary Schoening making specious comments, perhaps Gannett should take a legitimate poll of more than 600 likely Republican voters in the June 3rd Primary and report their findings. As the front-runner to win the nomination, we are very confident it will confirm our expected victory on June 3rd." Sabrin continued, "If this legitimate poll doesn't show our campaign within the margin of victory, we will pay for the poll ourselves! Otherwise, we suggest Mr. Schoening keep his bias to himself and keep it off the pages of the Asbury Park Press!"
Dr. "Maverick Murray" Sabrin is a successful entrepreneur working in commercial real estate, portfolio management, and economic research. Maverick Murray is an author, TV and radio commentator, and Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Business and Public Policy at Ramapo College. He and his wife Florence of 39 years reside in Bergen County. For more information, please visit http://www.murraysabrin.com.

Subject: Monmouth University-Gannett Poll
Gentlemen, I'd like to set the record straight about the candidate's comments about the Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey Poll in the Gannett New Jersey debate the other day.
In our view, the poll had scientific validity and its intent was clear to those who participated.
The sample size was 230, not the 160 or 170 the candidate cited in the debate. This sample has a margin of error of +/-6.5%. Sabrin was 20 points behind Zimmer in the poll, and even if we were at the edges of that margin, that makes the claim that he is the front-runner (which to any reasonable person's interpretation means he's winning the race) specious.
As to whether the respondents were likely voters, Sabrin said "we don't know" whether they were likely voters. Actually, we do know - they are not. This was not a poll to predict the June 3 primary. Rather, it was clearly a measure of sentiment among all registered voters who identify with the Republican party as to whom they would like to see nominated.
Specifically, the poll did not ask "Who will you vote for on June 3?" but rather "Who would you like to personally see as the Republican candidate?" This question was accurately measured in the MU/GNJ poll.
This is not meant to prolong the discussion of this issue, merely to let you know the position of the Gannett New Jersey newspapers.
