Maverick Murray Highlights Fiscal Recklessness And Holds Preakness Money Bomb

Wayne, NJ – New Jersey conservative Republican leader Dr. “Maverick Murray” Sabrin, the Garden State’s strongest advocate of limited government and individual freedom and the front-runner for United States Senate, highlighted the risky financial shenanigans of federal and state politicians by “investing”  part of his one-hour online money-bomb on tonight’s MEGA MILLIONS $196 million lottery and the remainder on a wager of the Preakness Stakes tomorrow.

Dr. Murray Sabrin said, “My campaign to Legalize Freedom has as much chance of winning tonight’s $196 million MEGA MILLIONS lottery as the current crop of politicians fixing the financial crisis looming over the American economy.  While betting $1 from my campaign to play the lottery is entertaining, it would be financially irresponsible to wager all of our campaign funds on such a risky gamble.”  Sabrin continued, “However, this is the type of reckless decisions both Democrats and Republicans have made in Washington for decades.”

Dr. Sabrin stated, “Washington needs a real Maverick to take on the special interests and fight for New Jersey taxpayers.  With over $72 trillion of unfunded liabilities on the horizon, the time for reckless actions from Congress is over – I will deliver that message to my colleagues when I enter the U.S. Senate next January.” Sabrin continued, “The riskiest action New Jersey voters could make is not electing me to the United States Senate.”

Maverick Murray continued, “In addition, politicians are continuing to look for new ‘sources’ of revenue  – voter beware – this is more talk of continued wasteful spending.  The problem isn’t the lack of resources – the problem is too much government, especially at the federal level.  Where would you rather your taxmoney be spent: funding the Department of Education in Washington that doesn’t teach anyone or putting resources directly into the classroom?”  Sabrin continued, “We need less government and more freedom!  That is why my campaign is about Legalizing Freedom!”

Dr. Sabrin announced his prediction that Big Brown will probably win the 133rd running of the Preakness on Saturday since Cowboy Cal won’t be participating.  He also announced that every dollar that is donated between 3:00-4:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, May 16th, will be wagered on the Preakness.  However, to hedge against an upset (and to get better odds than 1-2), he will take the funds and box an exacta with Big Brown, Icabad Crane and Gayego.  He will make the wager on behalf of the campaign on Saturday when he visits Monmouth Park Racetrack.

Maverick Murray predicted, “Since Behindatthebar has been scratched, Big Brown is an even greater favorite to win.  However, even front-runners like myself don’t win until we cross the finish line.  If we can raise $25,000 for this wager we can fund a week’s worth of T.V. commercials for my campaign to Legalize Freedom!”  Sabrin continued, “If you want something more risky try boxing the Trifecta with Big Brown, Icabad Crane and Gayego.  If you win, I hope you will consider a very generous donation to my campaign; if you lose, remember I told you it was risky.”

The announcement was made at a press conference at the well-known Twenty Three Shop in Wayne, New Jersey at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008.  The Twenty-Three Shop is located at 1492 State Route 23.

Maverick Murray’s MEGA MILLIONS numbers are: 5-15 (his father’s birthday), 7-4 (the date of our nation’s independence) and 8-24 (the date of his 40th Wedding Anniversary to his better half, Florence).  The drawing for tonight’s MEGA MILLIONS can be seen on NJN at 11:00 p.m.  For more information about MEGA MILLIONS, please visit the website: http://www.state.nj.us/lottery/games/1-1-1_mega....
