Senate Judiciary Committee John Adler will hold the nomination of Jeanne Fox until after the completion of a whistleblower trial, according to an Asbury Park Press report today. Gov. Jon Corzine reappointed Fox to the state Board of Public Utilities, despite from a top BPU official alleging that Fox and others retaliated against him for alerting the state that Fox set up a potentially improper $80 million account outside the supervision of the State Treasurer.

More to the point, why is it always the Norcross County Dems who seem like the hard-liners on ethics issues? Watch out Dick Codey. They may be on to something.
How Convenient!
I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that Adler is running for Congress..
Why hold it? Why not just reject it completely? The $80 million account is a fact and it was improper.
Why is Corzine holding onto her?
Quite a few people are scratching their heads on that one. He had a window to allow her her dignity and that's passed. He will be forced to make a decision that makes both of them look damaged.
Jeanne Jeanne Moron Machine
Rehgardless if she retailiated against anyone here are some facts.
1) Set up unlawful bank account.
2) Reesorted to gross patronage - Cipel's relative dozens of hacks.
3) Expanded leased space at $28 per square foot Gateyway Center by 11,000 sq. ft. to place her freinds.
4) Presided over cronyism, stupidity, and collasal waste at solar program.
5) Frittered away money in support of global travel/junkets for moron colleagues.
Who cares if she retaiated... she is s till trash.
Bitter... Table for one
Hey stupid - invest in a dictionary. Are you perhaps too busy on conspiracy theories to invest your energy into positive things? Trash? Wow - what contract didn't you get?
<>
Thanks DemDiva... got my dikshinary..
and I looked up "incompetent" and it had a pikcher of Jeanne... then I looked up "patronage" and it had a piktcher of jeanne... the only kontrakt I want from jeanne is one where she sines an agreement to stop making me pay for her stupidity every time I pay an elektrik bill... i spell so good, no?
It's worse than I thought...
You must have been burned bad by Ms. Fox or her husband. With all that trash talk, you can't just be an ordinary citizen who cares so much about the environment and energy that you would stoop so low to call someone moron or trash. So sad to see you waste your time on these postings. If you spent more time crafting your skills, you would have less time being bitter about the ones you don't have.
<>Congratulations on the dictionary. Now look up spiteful. You would be better served to stick to factual comments than to name-calling.
<>You'll surely get the last word as I am too busy to educate you further. But I will say that Ms. Fox has spent the better part of her life championing environmental concerns. She's earned the respect of not just her peers locally, but on a national level. I will agree that there are political appointees not worthy of their posts, but Jeanne Fox is certainly not one of them. Her resume speaks for itself.
Demdiva put the Kool Aid down
I have not worked at the BPU nor have i been "burned" by Fox or DiMicco...but don't you think it sends the wrong message to the tax payers of NJ that someone like Jeanne is rewarded for her unethical and likely illegal behavior?
Apparently you must be one of Jeanne's loyal faithful who can't see that an an $80million bank account off the books is a no no and she should have to pay for her actions. Her bad deeds completely overshadow anything she's done for the environment at this point. You must be drinking the same Kool Aid as Corzine.
And I'll say it again, we didn't wait for the end of the Hackett ,et al trial to ask them to leave their office...
Ordinary Citizen also thinks Jeanne is not worthy
DemDiva et. al.,
I AM an ordinary citizen. I have a private sector job. I don't have a horse in this race. All I do is pay taxes and utility bills. I did not vote for Corzine, but I had high hopes that he would do something about the mess in Trenton. After all, he had to be better than McGreevey, right? WRONG! Re-appointing Jeanne Fox is the WORST kind of patronage. There were some big cracks in his veneer before that, but this just takes the cake. He has lost all credibility.
