you gotta love...

...that the best defense Christie's apologists can come up with is "Torricelli did it, too."

They're in the same league, now.

100% right

this is bad, no doubt.

So Christie's now playing the same game thats infected this States and National politics for years. Giving insiders, former Bosses, a spot at the taxpayer trough. Disappointed, but not really surprised.

Not only this State, but this Country is rotting from the inside. Done by the very people we pay to govern and police us. Quite a shame.

Christie's Been Buying Support For Years

He was a "Pioneer" for George Bush in 2000, raising $100K for the campaign, and then when he didn't get the US Attorney gig he and his brother sent a half million to state and national party coffers.

This is nothing unusual, except that this time he is using the power of his office to buy support for his future efforts after Bush leaves office.

Even if he doesn't run for office again (he was defeated for reelection in a Republican primary for Freeholder in Morris county, remember so has a bad track record) he still needs jobs as a lawyer.  Ashcroft could hand Christie a plum gig!

Maybe he can hire Coniglio next to fix his plumbing

Interesting note

The above post is right:  Chris Christie did lose the Republican nomination for Morris County freeholder.  He lost to this sites new blogger, Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll.  The people of morris county know what they are doing.

Blah

Obviously, I am not going to complain about the content. Christie screwed up big and Pallone nailed him. But this cartton is simply "blah."  It feels sloppy, dressed in the dark, and phoned in. Tornoe did ok last week, but this is back to his basic formulatic dimwhitted method. I'll say this again, hopefully Tornoe reads it...Political cartoons are supposed to expose or address an issue that might have otherwise fallen in the cracks, present a new angle to an existing story, or to place political figures in obviously charicaturesc settings to exploit hypocracy, weakness, problems, or shortcomings. This does none of that. It simply sums up a story that EVERYONE already knows. (The big strech is AG replaces JA), it smacks of lack of effort.
