Gov. Jon Corzine today released a full list of contributions made by his charitable foundation this year -- $191,770 through October 8.  Included were gifts to the Harlem Day School ($50,000), Rockefeller University ($25,000), and the Folksbeine Yiddish Theater ($20,000).

“Christie talks a lot about transparency, but he has not responded to our request for him to join in calling for the U.S. Attorney’s Office to release the FOIA’s they held up for months," said Sean Darcy, a spokesman for the Corzine campaign. "Based on the revelations of thousands of taxpayer dollars spent on baseball games, limousine rides and five star hotels around the world, I think we can see why.  Instead of trying to create issues of transparency, they should deal with the one right in front of them and call on the U.S. Attorney’s office to provide New Jersey voters with some transparency into whatever else was going on in that office before the new U.S. Attorney came in.”

Why Didn't Corzine Get Them From Obama

when he was here yesterday? Isn't Eric Holder Obama's man at DOJ? How pathetic, Corzine says he has a partner in the WH and he doesn't even have enough juice to get some public records??? Sad.

Mega Churches and Votes

In 2006, the foundation awarded $4.3 million — up from $3.8 million in 2005 — to the same causes Corzine has always supported: African-American churches, urban organizations, the arts, health care, and a variety of Jewish organizations. The foundation's largest contribution last year, $600,000 was awarded to David G. Evans Ministries in Camden County, New Jersey, who uses television, radio, and the Internet to spread a Christian message of hope and healing; the foundation also awarded $25,000 to Evans' church, Bethany Baptist, in Lindenwold.

2009 Records were not released.

The real juicy contributions for 2009 which were probably riddled with payoffs for political support were not released. As usual Corzine gives us only half the information in order to keep secret his modus operandi of handing out dollars for political support and endorsements. The above was pointed out on NJ 101.5 FM on the Casey and Rossi program.

Why are they Ignoring this Corruption

When does this end? Why and how is it that this type of blantant corruption continues and there is no accountibility.
