New Jerseyan Mike DuHaime is the new political director for John McCain’s presidential campaign, according to published reports this morning. DuHaime, the former Executive Director of the New Jersey Republican State Committee, will assume the management of McCain’s political operation following a management shakeup earlier this week.
He had been campaign manager of Rudy Giuliani’s bid for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination.
DuHaime, who started in New Jersey as campaign manager for Anthony Bucco’s successful State Senate race against incumbent Gordon MacInnes in 1997, was Deputy Campaign Manager for Bob Franks’ 2000 U.S. Senate race, and Regional Political Director of George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election bid. He was the political director of the Republican National Committee in 2005 and 2006.

...this move totally baffles me.
Democracy is an awful way to run a country, but it's the best system we have.- Winston Churchill
No Biggie..
I really don't think it's a big deal. There are so many people who operate McCain's campaign that it really doesn't matter too much what title he has and what exactly he does. It's true his record hasn't been too great and the far right will be all over this like bees on honey, but what's really in a title and a position?
In the end it comes down to the candidate, and knowing how things work this position will end up going to someone else before the end of the campaign anyway.
who cares ?
without a sharp message on Oil drilling , Energy and illegals this campaign is in trouble
Another overrated hack.
The Rudy Giuliani campaign for president will probably go down in history as one of the worst campaigns since Phil Gramm or John Connally!
So overrated was the candidacy that mimicks SEINFELD: the campaign about nothing!
What has this guy actually accomplished?
This only tells me how desperate this effort has become!
