Gary Rose, one of Governor Jon Corzine’s top advisors and the Chief of the state Office of Economic Growth, will be leaving by the end of the month, according to administration sources. With the state budget process nearing completion, Rose, who was a partner with Corzine at Goldman Sachs, is reportedly headed to a private sector position.
Corzine’s Chief of Staff, Bradley Abelow, is also expected to depart state government after the budget is approved. Like Rose, Abelow worked with Corzine at Goldman Sachs.
Sources say that Angie McGuire will take on his job in an acting director capacity while the Governor searches for a replacement.

Empty Shoes to Fill
Gary Rose, who came to trenton with high praise and higer expectations, will be leaving without having accomplished a blessed thing.
His office quickly became the place where good ideas went to die.
The state will be better off upon his departure.

Worthless
Just like his boss. How many jobs left NJ since these bobble-heads took office?
Thanks for Nothin...
For 2 guys (3 if you count Abelow) who are supposed to know a thing or 2 about economics and what businesses need to thrive, they've been a major disappointment. They've done little more than cut a few ribbons. There has be no economic development policy advanced by this bunch. How about we focus on jobs, jobs, jobs, instead of taxes, taxes, taxes!
