The above justifications for that large posting, and that posting itself, sounds something like a Fox News Channel broadcast. I dislike whomever is doing wrong. I have no party affiliation.

The problem with the above post is that:

1) It reeks of ignorance.

2) It has many points of defamation and slander in it.

3) It's not my or the other guy's position to disprove anything, that might be done at a latter time by folks who may want to subpoena these postings.

4) Free speech allows people to say some bogus things, but outright lies and deceptions posted as truth is not free speech.

5) If someone goes around and identifies you and says they saw you humping your neighbors dog, would you let that slide?

6) Just because someone writes something on a website, that doesn't make it true. Also, without referencing it that's theft.

7) Political free speech does not give a free pass to spread malicious rumors.

Snopes.com disproved almost every line you posted, yet you still disbelieve it. Or is this willful ignorance? It seems like you had spread someone elses material without citing the author, as this text is virtually identical to the chain letter posted on snopes.

I decided to research your snopes article. Although snopes has been wrong before, I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt. My previous post is now corrected based on their information. Snopes didn't disprove a whole lot, I found opinion and conjecture. But there were a few posts concerning lobbyists and his job at the Univeristy of Chicago that I eliminated. All others are factual based on snopes, your favorite website.

Dino, you are quite correct about the use of Libel. Writing on an interactive forum gives the impression of speech. Therefore, I used the wrong term and I am man enough to admit I am wrong by that.

I was correct in the fact that there is, what appears to be, a smear of Obama's name, hence libel. The type that brings dirt into the political process. The only use, I can see from large post at top was to tarnish Obama's reputation in an article that gave no credit to someone else, but seemed to be the PSJ's views. When posting, one cannot just place articles and e-mails from a source that they want to believe.

PSJ - If there is conjecture in your posting, why state that as fact? So you post something as fact, when you have very little sources of verifiable  information?

There appears to be no REAL corrections, the majority of the posting seems false. I compared the first 10 and, with the exception of #1, which is explained in detail in another link, there seems to remain the air of misinformation.

If calling the candidate by his correct full name Barack Hussain Obama is a smear. Obama calling poor Americans dumb for clinging to God and Guns is not. Give us all a break. Obama is what he is period. If the truth is a smear so be it. Obama and his wife as johnny come lately embracing American culture and values is bogus at best and the American people will see it as such.

I'm watching this and scratching my head as to how Snopes words can be twisted so.

One such example is the above, there Obama supposedly has taken a lot of PAC money - "loads of it".

Snopes states, as the link above details, that Obama never denied taking PAC money. He pledged and upheld that pledge not to take it for the 2008 Presidential race.

This is a big difference and one must question how someone could not interpret it as such?  I believe McCain took PAC money as well, why the difference?

There are many other items that seem complete distortions.

His father is not an American, so what? Our Governor from California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who many want to run for president, has an Austrian father. What's worse, is that according to USAToday (another commie paper, right?), Gustav Schwarzenegger was a member of the Nazi stormtrooper group known as the Brownshirts.

Meanwhile, I have been researching snopes and have found that, yes, they have a left wing bias. (of particular interest was the fact that Snopes labled articles regarding Hillary Cinton's defending of the Black Panthers as "bad journalism" when it is well documented). I was also surprised to find out just how many times they were wrong, how many times they made conclusions without evidence and how many times they would nnot correct their stories when faced with new evidence that conflicted with their original position.
PAC money has enabled Obama to put himself in the position he is today. He took tons of PAC money as a US Senator, which is absolutely relevent to his ascent to the nomination. and you're right, McCain did take PAC money, he's just not a hypocrite about it.
No, it's not pride that not letting this drop. I just happen to be against skyrocketing taxes (which Obama has vowed to impose)and open dialogue with terrorist nations (which Obama said he would initiate). He wants to pull the troops out, which is popular, but he has not plans after that, although he does say on his web site that if, after the troops are gone, we find terrorists locating in Iraq, we'll go back to war.

Never really had a case to rest.
