The GOP is BANKRUPT and CORRUPT
Aren't these the same corrupt individuals who were complaining about the Democrats switching candidates last minute?
Dick Zimmer must feel like 5-day old chopmeat; nasty, maggot-infested, and rotten!
NJRONALDREAGAN
You sir are an idiot. While you can certainly critique the manner in which this has been handled you cannot suggest the Republicans are being hypocritical by switching candidates. First, when Torricelli was taken out of the race for Lautenberg it was in the general election, not a primary. Second, it was weeks after the deadline for replacing candidates - the ballots had actually been printed in some counties. Here, the date to file as a candidate was just two days ago. The deadline to withdraw as a candidate isn't for a week. The ballots won't be printed for weeks after that. The Republicans complained back then b/c the Dems and the Supreme Court were violating the express language of the statute which set a deadline for withdrawing from the race. In this case the Republicans are not only within the statutory time frame, they are doing it well prior to the deadline.
In short, please don't draw comparisons between this situation and the Torch/Frank situation when you have no idea what the facts are or were.
Big Surprise
What are Republican leaders in New Jersey thinking, drafting this Andy Unanue?
I mean what qualifications did they think would appeal to voters, the fact that he lives in Manhattan or that he has been thrown out of his family's business???
Annnouncing his candidacy from Vail was a sure bet to appeal to the working men and women of New Jersey!!!
Baroni is sooooo smart....
are we giving Bill Baroni a mulligan?
Unanue was never serious
Unanue was a "dummy" candidate whose name was put on petitions as a place holder until an appropriate enthusiastic one-issue pro-abortion candidate could be found. And in Dick Zimmer they've found their man!
Rick
Come on, you should know by now: Don't attack Zimmer until it's 100% official, otherwise your just wasting your time.
Shameless Andy heading back on vacation.
This is more than a comedy. It is a farce, like in I am stupid so bang me in the head. Did you do it? I did not feel anything. Do it one more time. No, Tommy your head is already bleeding. Do it again until I am dead. But Tommy, who is going to be a Chairman?
Where is Mr. Wilson?
Tom Wilson has been conspicuously absent during this most recent brush up. Why is he not supporting the very person he brought into the race in the first place???
