GREENWALD: NEW JERSEY TAKING CONCRETE STEPS TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS CLIMATE

GREENWALD: NEW JERSEY TAKING CONCRETE STEPS TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS CLIMATE

(TRENTON) - Assembly Budget Committee Chairman Louis D. Greenwald (D-Camden) made the following statement today in response to the New Jersey Business and Industry Association's annual Business Outlook Survey:

"From reforming our business tax code to providing new incentives for job growth and expansion, we are making New Jersey an even better place for businesses to call home.

"Just yesterday, both NJBIA and the state Chamber of Commerce said our business tax reforms will make the state competitive and encourage businesses to open shop here.

"New Jersey's business community is being hammered by an economic slump that is far-reaching and not relegated to just our state.

"In the midst of this global recession we are pursuing policies in partnership with the business community that will position New Jersey to not only withstand this storm better than many of our neighbors, but emerge stronger."
