GREENSTEIN, DeANGELO: HAMILTON POSTAL WORKERS NEVER FORGOTTEN
(HAMILTON) - Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein and Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo, whose legislative district contains the Hamilton mail-sorting facility contaminated by anthrax in 2001, today applauded federal law enforcement officials for never abandoning their search for the individuals responsible for the act of domestic terrorism that left six postal workers infected with the potentially deadly disease.
Greenstein and DeAngelo (both D-Mercer/Middlesex) released the following joint statement:
"All of us who have stood beside the men and women who work at the Hamilton postal facility can today breathe a sigh of relief that after seven years of uncertainty we finally may get some answers.
"As we learned today, law enforcement never let up in its search for those responsible for this heinous act of domestic terrorism - even after the story faded from the headlines.
"Unfortunately, we will never be able to see the alleged suspect brought to justice nor hear his reasons for why he put the lives of so many in danger.
"However, for all who lived through this nightmare - and especially those who still live with its effects - today delivers at least a modicum of closure."
