Nothing Shocking Here
This, folks, is a Republican paper that has endorsed Republicans relentlessly, from Forrester to Kean Jr. to Bush (in 2000). That Riley got an endorsement is a bit of a surprise, but for today's edition, the Courier Post endorsed five Republicans to one Democrat. Combine this with the fact that the syndicated columnists featured are almost always conservative leaning, and one questions whether their endorsements are a reflection of anything other than the conservative ideology of the CP Editorial Board.
Sour Grapes
CP is not always GOP Marty, but I can tell your knickers are in a twist over Haines and Addiego getting the nod!
So much for your know it all huh?

Living in a Dream
CP is a Republican-leaning newspaper. They feature, for example, conservative columnists over progressive ones by a 6-1 margin. Their endorsement speaks to their ideology, nothing more.
Which Means
That is one does not agree with you Martin that every office MUST be held by a Democrat or else, that the particular endorsement/endorser is a conservative.
How brutally narrow minded. You dont think that there are some bright and savvy independents that make these decisions too? For the BEST PERSON NOT THE PARTY??

Great
gopgal08: You keep whining about voting for the person before the party, but then always post partisan pro-Republican posts, particularly when you are on Red Jersey. Hence, I would like you to inform the politicsnj.com audience when you voted for a candidate who wasn't a Republican. Or are you, to use your terms, "brutally narrow minded."
And, of course, the Courier Post editorial staff favors Republicans consistently in their endorsements. That fact isn't worthy of disputing.
I do Not Have To
Because I have never said like you referring to the Dems that the GOP are the best party, the GOP rules, that only the GOP walk on water, etc. You have constantly stated as such EVEN when former GOP Bodine who you spent 2 years slamming for being a corrupt GOP suddenly becomes a Dem, all his misdeeds you accused him of totally and suddenly went away.
sorry Martin, but your sour grapes are showing.

Questions for gopgal08
A) Where and when did I slam Bodine? I've always seen the problem with Boss Paulsen, Farias, Bark, Stears, and that crew.
B) Do you publically distance yourself from BurlCo GOP corruption, particularly in the person of Boss Paulsen?
C) Again, I ask: Who did you vote for that was not a Republican and in what election? Answer the question honestly, and quit hiding.
Ok
I do not have any involvement with Paulsen and never had, outside of volunteering for the GOP at the HQ or other places. I live in the 7th and so far the only candidates that I have supported have been GOP BECAUSE they have been the ones that I feel do the best job.
So far there have been NO democrats that I would support because they do not have the ability or the knowledge that would move our District forward.
Now, I have voted dem for President and admittedly I did vote for Clinton one time because of my own personal issues.
But I am not going to vote for a dem or gop because of their party, but because of the people.
When was the last time YOU voted for a GOP Marty?
More Cowbell Please !!
voting
gopgal08: I imagine I'm a bit younger than you, so I haven't had quite as many opportunities to vote. Clinton was the first president for whom I could vote, and I've supported Dems on the presidential level, admittedly. For this past election, I considered voting for a GOP candidate for freeholder, but instead voted for one Dem and one Green, something I've never done. I'd also probably vote to re-elect my mayor, who is Republican. The national Republicans are the ones which I have a problem with, not the local ones per se.
On a personal level, please stop the personal attacks and name-calling in other forums.
MartinOne - you can really believe
You can't really believe CowBell is being directed by anyone in a campaign. You are entitled to your opinion. Are you arrogant enough to think everyone else is being instructed? Cowbell gal has her own thoughts. PLEASE don't assume they are anyone elses...
