Corzine will endorse Clinton
By Wally EdgeGovernor Jon Corzine will endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination in April, according to sources working with the Clinton campaign.
But Corzine will not lean on New Jersey Democrats to follow him, his staff says. He seems committed to encouraging Democrats to make up their own minds.

Should have been Edwards
Corzine was just a few months ago questioning the viability of Clinton's campaign, so this is a bit of a change of heart.Though I'm glad that he will be encouraging other Dems to support their own candidates, I am disappointed that he decided that Clinton, rather than Edwards, is worthy of endorsement. Edwards is a better politician, presents a more strident anti-war position than Clinton, and he would present a better choice for N.J. voters -- preservation and growth of the middle class, attention to poverty, commitment to environmentalism.
While politically connected organizations such as "The Group" and Corzine have decided to back Clinton, grassroots activists, including those on Blue Jersey, where support is first for Edwards, then Obama, then Kucinich, will have a powerful say in whom N.J. chooses in our now-early primary.

No surprise, a socialist supports another socialist; of course that could be said for any in the crop. And, regardless of who he backs the extreme leftists in New Jersey would be disappointed he did not support someone even further to the left (like Edwards, Obama, or Kucinich..... well, I guess all Dem candidates are varying degrees of extreme lefties).
Boy, how far New Jersey Democrats have gone from our state motto of Liberty and Prosperity.

no shock there...Hillary has been supportive of Corzine over the years, he's repaying the favor. Corzine as Treasury Secretary in a Clinton cabinet? not out of the question I suppose.
