Javier Inclan, a former Hudson County Clerk and Executive Director of the Hudson County Democratic Organization, is slated to replace Jeannine LaRue as Governor Jon Corzine’s Deputy Chief of Staff. And as reported in The Inside Edge last month, Corzine has picked Adam Zellner to serve as his new Policy Director. He replaces Heather Howard, who was named Commissioner of Health.

Zellner serves as the Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Legislative Affairs at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.  He the New Jersey Office of Smart Growth, and served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Highlands Council.

Oh boy-Watch the fireworks erupt

There is no African American anywhere in the inner circle.  Get your popcorn folks!  Ron Rice will be on the warpath!

African Americans definitely at the table, but...

PoliticsNJ didn't include her in the story...here we go again.  Michellene Davis' appointment was in the same press release that announced Javier Inclan and Adam Zellner.  She's a bright and engaging attorney who is former head of the NJ Lottery, was Brad Abelow's chief of staff when he was treasurer, and was acting treasurer until Rousseau was announced.

Michellene's position is senior special counsel to the Governor.  She will oversee appointments of judges and prosecutors...something the Chief Counsel does now.  She will also handle all appointments to Commissions, Authorities, and boards...as well as major urban inititiatives in Camden and Newark.  Michellene's office will be in the Office of the Governor. She is and will continue to be at table as one of this Governor's top advisers.

All of this wasn't important to PoliticsNJ...but it's important to a whole lot of other folks who interact with her all of the time...and not just African Americans.  She's a star.

Ledger noted Davis in their Auditor column

I stand corrected!
