Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey Endorses Corzine-Weinberg ‘09

TRENTON—Citing his commitment to working families, and efforts to keep New Jersey’s Bravest at work, the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey(PFANJ-IAFF) today endorsed the Corzine-Weinberg ticket for re-election.

“These men and women are fearless public servants who rush into emergencies while others are rushing out,” Governor Corzine said. “Their hard work and dedication to their craft should be commended by all New Jerseyans. Over the next four years I will continue to honor this dedication by making sure hard earned pensions and health benefits will be protected for the men and women of the PFANJ. I am honored that they have chosen to support my re-election.”

During his first term, the Governor contributed more than $3.2 billion into the public pension system- more in three and a half years than the previous 15 years combined- and been committed to ensuring that pensions are available in the future. Over the past few months, the Governor has worked to secure American Recovery and Reinvestment Act dollars that will go directly to these men and women who protect us from harm

“Governor Corzine is committed to representing the needs of our members,” said PFANJ President Dominick Marino. “He has shown us time and time again that he will not rest until the pension obligations are fully funded. This Governor stands shoulder to shoulder with New Jersey’s bravest and we enthusiastically endorse his re-election.”

Carbon copy endorsements – is there anything fishy there?

This endorsement looks almost the same as the endorsement by the New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police. I wonder who wrote these endorsements and why?
