Assemblyman Herb Conaway, Jr. attended Francis Bodine's press conference in Moorestown on Thursday, and bid "welcome" to the newly registered district 8 Democrat.

Conaway  is running for re-election in neighboring district 7, along with Jack Conners.  The ticket is rounded out by Clinton speechwriter-turned undertaker Richard Dennison of Florence, who is challenging State Sen. Diane B. Allen.

Conaway said he is pleased to support Bodine, his Assembly colleague for the last ten years, and underscored his own and the party's comittment to tax relief.

He took a jab at his one of his opponents, former National Hockey League player and Philadelphia Flyers annnouncer Brian Propp of Cinnaminson. Conaway questioned what he said would likely be a significant scheduling conflict for the Republican Assembly candidate.

"Hockey season coincides with our biggest, busiest time of the year," said Conaway.

Thieves

Busiest time of the year. Oh thats the time when all the Democrats steal all my tax dollars and give it to their crony friends/developers and the rest to Camden and Newark.

Herb needs to get his priorities straight

Brian Propp's schedule should be the least of Herb's concerns. He should be focusing on reducing property tax, removing pork from the budget and coming up with a better solution to the school funding problems.

Undertaker is in over his head!

Does all this Dennison guy bring to the table is his claim to fame as a speech writer for Clinton? He is not even old enough to hold the office until this summer. btw: his myspace site had numerous inappropriate pictures until someone advised him to set it at private. As for Conaway he should worry about his own campaign not his opponent. If it wasn’t for Conners on the ticket Perr would have dumped him or ran him as the sacrificial lamb for the senate seat against Diane.

IN OVER HIS HEAD???

Mr. "High Taxes"... are you crazy?  I think graduating with honors from UPenn with a poli sci degree, writing speeches for one of the most eloquent presidents ever (and did so at such a young age), a Georgetown Law degree, a successful law practice and years spent working within his community as a funeral director--incidentally, seeing many of his neighbors dealing with the problems perpetuated by an out-of-touch, snobby state senator (who incidentally has been trying to use her office as a stepping-stone for higher office ever since she was first elected)--actually, makes him extremely well-qualified.  Who in their right mind would disagree with that???  His resume is so much more impressive than Diane Allen's it's laughable.

And, his age??? Big deal... most people view John Adler as one of the best and brightest state legislators we have and he was barely 30 when he ran for state senate.  There are plenty of other examples, too.  By the way... do me the favor of seeing Rich Dennison speak one time and tell me he isn't qualified.  I CANNOT WAIT for a debate between him and Allen.  Ha ha!

Finally... his myspace page?  How desperate are you??? I'm his friend and I was on his myspace page... there was ONE picture of him with his sister, his sister's boyfriend, and another girl he is friends with at a bar, simply smiling for the camera.  You are pathetic trying to insult him over that!

Knowing him well, Rich Dennison will make this campaign about what it should be about... not the stupid crap you wrote about, but, he will bring the issues to the fore and make Diane Allen look like what she is--a bloated, old, Bush-lover, who is completely out-of-touch with her district.
