Codey, leave Britney Spears alone
The New Jersey politics hit the lowest possible point yesterday. Did FBI arrest another dozen of Democratic lawmakers on corruption charges? Did Chris Christie have another press conference announcing massive bribery scandal among New Jersey politicians? Did incumbent Senator Weinberg have a fistfight with Bergen County boss Joe Ferriero during the taxpayers’ funded Bergen County senior lunch yesterday?
It is time for a change in New Jersey politics.
None of the above. Acting Governor Codey ridiculed the New Jersey State GOP campaign platform by comparing it to … Britney Spears(!) Way to go Senator-Acting Governor Codey. “That’s like saying Britney Spears is tired of partying and wants to be a cloistered nun,” stated Codey. Lay off Britney, Senator-Acting Governor Codey. Leave Britney alone. Britney is a talented, successful pop entertainer. She is also a mother of two children. She also has some personal problems. We would like to help her as well. However, we do sympathize with her and think it is inappropriate for Senator-Acting Governor to make such a statement.
It is time for a change in New Jersey politics.
The statement is also disrespectful to the Catholic Church and the image of venerable nuns. It is a distasteful and mindless statement. Way to go Senator-Acting Governor Codey.
It is time for a change in New Jersey politics.
Instead let’s talk politics, shall we? We encourage Senator-Acting Governor Codey to read our press releases posted on Politicsnj.com. Let us know, what you think about New Jersey politics.
