It's Imformative
Just like Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine, Republican Gov. Christie Whitman, Democtaric Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts, etc.
Or, like Democratice fund raiser and boss of this web page, Charles Kushner.
Thanks.
Thank you so much. Thank you. How can I ever thank you enough? That was really important. For more errors on taxpayer funded mailings, see claims by Bodine (Judas Goat), Van Drew, and Whelan and Karcher claiming democrats have actually done something meaningful on out-of-control property taxes and government corruption. And no... I'm not referring to a couple of recent campaign pieces that directed people to district offices for "help", I'm referring to their garden-variety puff pieces they spew from time to time.
How many Republicans voted for Pelosi?
The answer is zero.
show some respect
Pelosi worked her tail off and is the speaker of the ENTIRE house. Garrett ought to show some respect.
its an adjective
I agree w/ Bergen Prince....I think Democrat was being used as an adjective, not as a title.
Another non-issue arrow aimed at Garrett
See the responses by Bergen Prince and Mr. Democrat, even Democrats (Mr. Democrat) see the truth of what was said; we don't need anymore of the liberal spin and bias.
What a joke!
This thread is a joke, correct? It is reasonable and accurate to call Nancy Pelosi the Democrat Speaker of the House. It was similarly used for Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert when identifying his party affiliation. Maybe Wally should be required to take a grammar lesson and learn what an adjective is? And Pelosi didn't "work her butt off". She had it surgically reduced along with her face and breast lifts.
umm yeah she actually did
As someone who has worked on house campaigns in the past, I can tell you that there are few house members as hard working as Nancy Pelosi. She was always there when we needed money and she was constantly calling to follow up. She got to be speaker the old fashioned way, as opposed to Hastert who just got thrown into the job after Bob Livingston resigned because he's a big, fat hypocrite!
How old are you?
How old are you? Five? Calling someone a big, fat hypocrite is adult behavior? Nice Alan. I merely pointed out the obvious - she has had numerous plastic surgeries. As someone who has worked on numerous House and Senate campaigns around the country, too, I can tell you that Speaker Hastert was just as hard working, if not more so, than Nancy Pelosi. Forgive me (or not) for not believing you - because I know the facts - as to your belief that Speaker Hastert was "thrown" into the job. But why should I take someone seriously who calls people names like a five year old?
The word Democrat as a modifier in this case is a pejorative...
On tax funded letterhead, if he is going to modify her title it should be Democratic, not Democrat.
No it should not
It is not the Democratic Party, it the Democrat Party. Thus someone who is a member is a Democrat and not a Democratic Party member. I knew Richard Gephardt's former communications director and she would correct everyone who used democratic when referring to a member of the Democrat Party - she got it from her boss. Even democratheadlines.com uses "Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi." PS - it may have been paid for by the taxpayer, but it had to be approved by the Democrats in the House Franking Committee.
I don't care if you were roommates with FDR...
It is the Democratic Party, made up of Democrats. According to every english language dictionary I could find, Democrat has only usage as a noun. Democratic is an adjective. Using Democrat as an adjective began with Joe McCarthy and has continued to today with Rush and Bush as a pejorative reference for America's largest political party. Just do a websearch for "Democrat Party" and you will see the history of this phrase.
I think now we know the reason that Dick never became speaker or the presidential nominee!!!
Pelosi is without question
one of the least qualified, silliest people in politics today.
She is a political joke that few people take seriously. I watched her Sunday and couldn't help but laugh at her with this phony legislation about insuring children while she lets people from Mexico swarm the border.
Has anyone asked her if this insurance includes illegal aliens? If so, won't that INCREASE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION?
She is a fool. An incompetent, hysterical liberal who can't get out of her own way.
That's what the country needs in a time of war, Hillary & Nancy running the country into the ground.
Scottie Boy: Cut The Crap....
Using a taxpayer funded vehicle for a snide and petty partisan attack is just one more reason you need to lose the next election. (Kudos to Wally for unearthing this merde.)
Your only chance to stay in office is a failure of the Democratic party to unify against you.....and even then; you're burdened with the albatross of your support for a man who is arguably the most corrupt and incomptent President in history.
By the way, Scottie, when are you going to distance yourself from that self promoting bimbette Coulter? Or do you agree with her perverse take on Christianity?
Meanwhile do yourself, and the chidren of New Jersey a favor: back off on SCHIP!!!
Scottie boy, come out come out...where ever you are!!!

No one takes Pelosi seriously?? Maybe not the wingnuts you hang with. But enough people take her seriously that she is two heartbeats away from the presidency. I agree that she isn't effective (we are still in Iraq, no impeachment proceedings for the trashing of the constitution that the current administration has perpetrated) but she is very much taken seriously.
Oh Darn.....
Is there no one willing or able to defend Scotty Garrett here???
I guess I can't blame y'all too much. Eh?
