Pay-to-Play at its Worst
Dave Mayer Team Puts Personal Interests Above Those of Gloucester Twp.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP – Tonight, the team of Moriarty and Collins for Assembly, running a coordinated campaign with the Dave Mayer Team in Gloucester Township, will host a $1,000 per head VIP Reception with special guest Ron Jaworski – the same Ron Jaworski whose company a judge ruled last week will have their lawsuit against the Township (and against six Valleybrook homeowner associations) thrown out. The legal proceedings brought against GT and its residents by Mr. Jaworski’s company have already cost taxpayers and families an excess of $125,000.
Says Mayor Cindy Rau-Hatton, "It’s obvious that the Dave Mayer Team’s concern is taking care of their well-connected, deep-pocketed friends rather than standing up for Gloucester Township homeowners. I have no doubt that should the Dave Mayer Team be elected, Mr. Jaworski will petition the Township for reconsideration and win approval at the expense of Valleybrook and Gloucester Township residents. This is pay-to-play at its worst, and the total disregard for Gloucester Township homeowners in exchange for campaign dollars by my opponents is downright appalling.
"I call on Dave Mayer to put the Valleybrook homeowners ahead of his and his friends’ financial and political interests, to encourage his former running mate to do the same, and to stop this pattern of behavior for the sake of our residents."
