Burzichelli: Governor Lays 'Solid Framework' for Fiscal Restructuring

BURZICHELLI: GOVERNOR LAYS 'SOLID FRAMEWORK' FOR FISCAL RESTRUCTURING
(TRENTON) - Calling Governor Corzine's four elements of fiscal restructuring - as outlined in the Governor's 2008 State-of-the-State address - a "solid framework on which to build," Assemblyman John J. Burzichelli (D-Gloucester) today released the following statement:
"In broad strokes, Governor Corzine has outlined a bold plan that may have the potential to significantly reduce our structural deficit and fourth-highest-in-the-nation debt burden.
"The Governor is prescribing some tough medicine, but everyone should keep an open mind in the coming weeks and months as the plan is unveiled, evaluated, and debated. Where we can make improvements, we should; where we can suggest alternatives, we will; and where we are called upon to make measured, deliberative, and difficult choices, we must."
