(Mount Laurel): Chris Brown and Mary Anne Reinhart, Democratic candidates for Burlington County Freeholder, continued to be endorsed by groups from all corners of Burlington County today when the Burlington County Times announced its choice.
Groups that have endorsed Brown or Reinhart now include the BCT, the Burlington County Central Labor Council and the Alice Paul NOW Committee.
The Burlington County Times today said that Brown, "brings a background in small business and some intriguing new ideas to his candidacy. As the owner of a real-estate management firm, he says he knows how to cut costs and manage budgets. He also has suggested exploring new ways to make use of Burlington County's abundant open space by locating suitable tracts of land for solar energy farms."
Reinhart and Brown are seeking to become the first Democratic candidates on the Freeholder Board in nearly 30 years.
The BCT said, "for too long, county government has been controlled by one party."
That is exactly why Brown and Reinhart are running on the "Straight A's for Change" platform. They will make Burlington County Affordable, Accessible and Accountable by cutting spending by $30 million in 3 years; bringing on an independent Inspector General to root out all the waste, fraud and taxpayer abuse in county government; and implementing a Green Energy plan to make the county more affordable, efficient and environmentally cleaner.
Taxpayers from across the county recognize the need to change the way our county government does business. The fact that these independent groups support the candidacy of Brown and Reinhart is further testament to the importance of ending the 3 decade stranglehold by republicans on county government.
