Bill Brown Lied on County Sheriff’s Employment Application, Was Removed from Eligible List
Civil Service Commission disqualifies him for repeatedly making “false” and “deceptive” statements to investigators on numerous occasions
Mt. Holly, October 8, 2009 – Bill Brown’s credibility as a candidate for the 8th District State Assembly has been completely destroyed in the wake of official documents from the Civil Service Commission showing he lied on an employment application to be a County Sheriff’s Officer and repeatedly made “false” and “deceptive” statements to background investigators about his juvenile arrest record, his driving record, his place of residence and his family history, charged Burlington County GOP spokesman Chris Russell today.
Records obtained via the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) from the Civil Service Commission in Trenton, following a simple Google Search, revealed that Brown has been barred from gaining employment as a County Sheriff’s Officer due to “falsification of his preemployment application.”
“Bill Brown lied on an employment application to be a County Sheriff’s Officer and gave false, misleading and contradictory statements to investigators about his juvenile arrest record, his ‘horrendous’ driving record and even how many siblings he had. Brown even refused to disclose where he lived from 1977-1997,” said Russell. “Bill Brown has completely destroyed any credibility he may have had as a candidate for elected office with this revelation. It’s clear from the compelling evidence contained in the Civil Service Commission report that Brown is nothing short of a serial liar and you can’t believe a single word that comes out of his mouth.”
On September 18, 2009, the Commission ruled on appeal that despite repeated warnings about the consequences of such actions, Brown was guilty of omissions on his application that were “clearly significant and cannot be condoned.” He has been removed from the eligible list for civil service employment.
“Bill Brown signed an affidavit certifying his statements were true and that was clearly not the case,” said Russell. “In all likelihood, Bill Brown has committed a fourth degree crime of false swearing and should be prosecuted.”Michael Doherty. a West Point graduate and one of the state's most conservative legislators, will take his seat in the State Senate today. Lies Lies Lies
This guy can never get his facts straight - He was for Chris Myers before he was against him. He was for Scott Rudder before he was against him. He was against Jon Corzine before he bent over and supported him.
Republican one day and Dem the next.
When you spend you whole life lying and switching loyalties like the wind - why would anyone support this guy.
I wonder when Sarcone dumps him from her ticket?
Oh and I wonder when the bigger story on Sarcone is going to hit???
