-NJ Ranks 50th in 2009 Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council Rankings-
Stirling, NJ: Long Hill Township, Morris County, April 20, 2009 – Bruce Meringolo, candidate for NJ Assembly from the 21st Legislative District and The New Voice of the Taxpayer, calls on the Corzine administration to put the citizens of New Jersey first and lower taxes on individuals and businesses.
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council (http://www.sbecouncil.org/) released its annual Business Tax Index for 2009 and New Jersey ranks 50th in terms of tax friendliness bettering only Washington D.C.
“The Corzine administration needs to take action now to lower the burden on individuals and businesses in our state, not increase taxes and fees” commented Bruce Meringolo. “The Republican candidates of Christie, Lonegan, and Merkt are out campaigning on this issue and every one of them knows NJ is consistently ranked among the least friendly tax states in the country. I will work in Trenton to lower taxes and help taxpayers keep more of what they earn!”
Mr. Meringolo further stated, “There is no better way to kick start an economy than to let our citizens keep the money in their pocket and create a tax friendly business environment which will keep and create jobs in NJ. We must stop taxing our citizens and businesses out of the state.”
Mr. Meringolo is a commercial real estate agent with Newmark Associates, Inc out of Whippany, NJ and is running for NJ Assembly in 21st LD with his core issues of fair school funding, lower taxes on individuals and business, and the elimination of COAH.
