Ewing (October 24, 2007) – Bob Martin, Republican State Senate candidate in the 15th district, today responded to a request by incumbent Democrat Shirley Turner for a debate on October 26th.
Martin stated, “I have always held the position that I will debate Shirley Turner anytime, anywhere. I believe Trenton is a great location for a debate, and have been campaigning hard there. I have been going door-to-door to talk to Trenton voters about gang violence, education and how we can redevelopment our capital city.”
Both campaigns agreed to the War Memorial in Trenton as a possible location.
“Since the original date of today, Wednesday October 24th, is no longer an option I am very happy to join her on Friday October 26th to talk about the issues. Please let me know the moderator, sponsor, panelist, location, and time. We did a lot of work to organize these details for the 24th, and we are glad to let Senator Turner’s campaign make the arrangements for the 26th. We are open to as many debates as possible, just let us know the time and place,” Martin stated.
