October 20, 2009 Bloschak: Caputo Should Get A Dunce Cap for Failing Belleville's ChildrenBelleville-Citing a recent report in the Belleville Times that Belleville schools are not meeting federal standards in certain areas, Urban Republican Assembly candidate Andrew Bloschak blasted lifelong educational bureaucrat and former failed Republican Assemblyman turned Democratic quadruple-dipper Ralph Caputo for endorsing a school funding formula that is hurting the 28th District. “Rather than do something progressive like support school choice and more charter schools, Caputo protected the public school cartel as it stands by simply shifting money around. He cannot see that times are changing. I praise Board President Longo for looking into why Belleville students are not meeting federal standards, but we really should look to Ralph Caputo’s misrepresentation of Belleville to see why our schools have problems. We are paying more taxes than ever and getting less in return,” Bloschak said. “As a parent with two students in the Belleville Public Schools, I know our teachers are working hard but that the state has become a hindrance to true excellence. As your Assemblyman, I will fight for the children, not put more money in bureaucrats’ pockets which is Ralph Caputo’s favorite political pastime,” Bloschak concluded.South Jersey Democrats are touting Cinnaminson native Anthony Mazzarelli, the head of the emergency medicine department at Cooper University ... >
