Bloschak: If I’m so bad Ralph, then how come you offered me a job?
Belleville-Urban Republican Assembly candidate Andrew Bloschak thinks that recent attacks on the Belleville discussion forum from allies of Assemblyman Ralph R. Caputo and Caputo’s dismissal of Bloschak’s candidacy as a “non-factor” on PolitickerNJ.com mask a fear on the part of the incumbent that he will lose his seat to the insurgent Republican. Bloschak says an incident last spring proves his theory:
“I wasn’t going to bring this out but Ralph’s attacks have been so ridiculous that I needed to expose the kind of politics Caputo is playing. Last April, I was by Three Guy’s Pizzeria on Franklin Avenue in Belleville with my wife when I saw a local elected official who is allied with Caputo. That official and I discussed things were going with General Motors and the closing of the Linden plant. He also asked me if I was running this year and I replied that indeed I was running. At which point the official said, ‘Well if you go see Ralph and promise you won’t run against him, maybe he can get you a job.’ In reply, I said that I will find my own job.” Bloschak said.
“This incident demonstrates that Ralph Caputo is the desperate one and used questionable means to try to get me out of the race. Unfortunately for him, I have been running a very aggressive campaign and I will not back down in defense of the working families and taxpayers in my district. Ralph is going to be very surprised on Tuesday, November 3rd!” Bloschak concluded.
