CAPE MAY REPUBLICANS UNITE

(CAPE MAY, October 15) – The Cape May County Regular Republican Organization, under the leadership of Chairman David Von Savage, came out in full force yesterday afternoon to welcome Republican Lt. Gov. nominee Kim Guadagno to an endorsement press conference in which all the county’s major GOP elected officials officially endorsed GOP nominees Chris Christie and Kim Guadagno for Governor and Lt. Governor, respectively; the two Assembly candidates, Mike Donohue and John McCann; and the incumbent Freeholder running for reelection, Len Desiderio.

In addition to Guadagno, Donohue, McCann, Desiderio, and Von Savage, others in attendance at the event, held at the Old Court House at 5:30 PM, included Freeholder Director Dan Beyel, Freeholder Vice Director Ralph Sheets, Freeholders Gerald Thornton and Ralph Bakley, County Clerk Rita Fulginiti, County Sheriff Gary Schaffer, and County Surrogate W. Robert Hentges.

“This may be Cape May County,” said Von Savage as he welcomed Guadagno, “but it’s Chris Christie Country. I can honestly say I haven’t seen Cape May Republicans this excited about a campaign since the turn of the century. We’ve got 20 days left, and we’re going to deliver big – for Chris and Kim, and for Mike and John, and for Len, and most importantly, for the taxpayers of Cape May County, who are tired of seeing so much of their money go to Trenton, never to be seen again.”

“Cape May has always been one of the strongest Republican counties in the state, and we’re counting on a big vote on Election Day,” said Sheriff Kim Guadagno. “But we’re not counting on Cape May just to send Chris Christie and me to Trenton – because we will not be able to turn this state around unless we can count on some help in the legislature. Chris and I are going to need Mike Donohue and John McCann by our side if we’re going to find ways to reduce spending and lower taxes to make New Jersey more affordable.

“So I’m here today on behalf of Chris Christie to ask a favor – if you’re planning to vote for Chris and me, please make sure you also vote for Mike Donohue and John McCann,” Sheriff Guadagno concluded.

“Up and down the line, Republicans in Cape May are working as hard as they can to take back the Governor’s mansion and the state house, and to make sure our Freeholder Board remains strongly Republican,” said Beyel. “Our message of reduced spending and lower taxes is resonating particularly strongly this year – all people have to do is look around, and they can see the failure of eight years of Democrat rule.

“We can’t change Trenton until we change the people in Trenton,” Beyel continued. “Chris Christie, Kim Guadagno, Mike Donohue, John McCann – these are good, strong leaders we’ll be able to count on in the months and years to come, as we try to restore New Jersey’s economy to the job-creating engine it once was. And reelecting Len Desiderio – well, he’s been one of the best and hardest-working Freeholders we’ve known in Cape May, and we’re pleased to know he’ll be working for us for another term.”

“We’ve had two encounters with our Democrat opponents already today,” said Donohue, “and I can tell you, they’re worried. They wouldn’t even get on stage with us at breakfast in Somers Point. They know they’re in trouble – and they should be, after voting with Jon Corzine 95 percent of the time.”

“I’m not sure which is worse,” added McCann. “Was it voting with Jon Corzine 95 percent of the time, or was it voting for nearly a billion dollars in higher taxes? I can understand why they’re copying the Corzine Playbook and ducking debates with us – I wouldn’t want to have to defend that record, either.”

“I’m proud to join my colleagues Kim, and Mike, and John, to carry the Republican banner this year,” added Desiderio. “All over the county, you can feel a sense of energy and excitement that hasn’t been there in years. Our neighbors are finally figuring out what we’ve known a long time – that if you want to create jobs and grow the economy, the answer is less government and more freedom, and not the other way around.”

Say no to Christie and Corzine. Vote Daggett

Don't by that GOP non-sense that Daggett is a plant funded by Corzine.

Fact is Daggett has no funds at all.

Futhermore, Chris Daggett nailed Christie and Corzine for corruption in 3rd Debate

You really have to hand it to Chris Daggett. Not only did he stand toe to toe with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie he really nailed it to them in the 3rd NJ  Gubernatorial Debate. Once again, for the third time in a row, I give this as a notch for Daggett.

Chris Daggett handed it to both Christie and Corzine for corruption saying to fight corruption you need to lead by example.

Daggett then cited specific corrupt activities that Christie and Corzine had engaged in, including illegal campaign finance and pay to play, and neither Corzine or Christie could defend themselves.

Instead, Corzine acknowledges that activity is going on and agrees with Daggett that it needs to stop.
