(OCEAN CITY, October 1) – First Legislative District GOP Assembly nominees Mike Donohue and John McCann today released the first radio advertisement of their campaign against incumbent Corzine Democrats Nelson Albano and Matt Milam.
Entitled “95% Wrong,” the 60-second spot drives home the fact that Albano and Milam voted with Gov. Jon Corzine 95 percent of the time, and together voted for more than a billion dollars in new taxes.
“Nelson Albano and Matt Milam have been running away from their record for months now,” said McCann. “And I guess if I had voted for more than a billion dollars in new taxes, I’d be running away from it, too. But Mike and I aren’t going to let them get away with it. We have a duty to the residents of the First Legislative District to make sure Albano and Milam are held accountable for the economic catastrophe they’ve helped cause.”
“Let me just say this,” added Donohue. “Jon Corzine looks at Nelson Albano and Matt Milam and sees 95 percent allies, not 5 percent opponents. It’s as simple as that. And that’s what this ad is all about.”
Below is the script of the 60-second spot, which began airing on radio stations throughout the district today, and will continue to run indefinitely
Announcer: If your doctor mistreated you 95 percent of the time, you’d be dead.
If your accountant got your finances wrong 95 percent of the time, you’d be broke.
But what if your legislators put the Trenton tax machine ahead of your family 95 percent of the time. Would they still get your vote?
Assemblymen Albano and Milam voted with the Trenton Tax Machine 95 percent of the time, supporting nearly 1 billion dollars in new taxes while South Jersey families and businesses struggle to make ends meet.
That’s right, Albano and Milam supported tax increases that cost families nearly $1 billion dollars, now they want you to send them back to Trenton.
Don’t let them fool you. South Jersey can’t afford Albano or Milam any longer.
Mike Donohue and John McCann will cut taxes, create jobs and eliminate government waste.
Donohue and McCann: putting south Jersey families first, not one time, all the time.
