GOP FREEHOLDER CANDIDATE DUGGAN SUPPORTS O’TOOLE TEAM IN DISTRICT 40 Â
Bergen County, Paul Duggan, a Bergen County Freeholder candidate and the  coordinator for the Bergen County Republican Organization in 2006, is backing Assemblyman Kevin O’Toole for state Senate in District 40 and his running mates, Assemblyman David Russo of Ridgewood and Wayne Mayor Scott Rumana.
Â
Duggan says the O’Toole-Russo-Rumana ticket gives the GOP a powerful team in this year’s legislative elections which top the ballot. “The O’Toole team will run a top notch, well funded, professional campaign  that will rack up impressive vote totals that will help our local candidates, said Duggan.  “It’s a ticket I would be proud to run on.
Â
Duggan of Bogota, said O’Toole has been a leader in ethics and property tax reform in the state and has shown “tremendous courage in his enduring battle against Democrat corruption and overspending in New Jersey. As a state senator I am sure he will be even more effective in fighting corruption and cutting property taxes.
Â
Duggan added that O’Toole has been a “tremendous supporter of the Bergen County Republicans in recent years and has helped the organization through its recent financial difficulties.
Â
“There are few people who have done more to help keep the BCRO viable than Kevin O’Toole. He has been there for us time after time, said Duggan. “He has demonstrated a commitment to rebuilding the GOP in Bergen and making it a powerful force for Republicans – not just in the county – but statewide.
Â
Duggan said Russo is a strong veteran lawmaker and that Rumana, who is the GOP chairman in Passaic County, is a young, energetic voice for the Republican Party.
“Russo and Rumana make this a balanced and very impressive ticket, said Duggan.
District 40 is comprised of: Cedar Grove Township, Franklin Lakes Borough, Little Falls Township, Mahwah Township, Midland Park Borough, Oakland Borough, Ridgewood, Ringwood Borough, Verona Township, Wanaque Borough, Wayne Township, Wyckoff Township.Â
