WHERE'S TARDY TODD?

50 Seniors Forced to Wait for Debate as Caliguire Just Can't Get to the Church on Time

Hackensack - The Bergen County Democratic Organization called on Todd Caliguire to apologize to the more than 50 seniors who were forced to wait until he strolled in more than 20 minutes after the scheduled start of today's Westwood AARP Candidate Forum.
"Being late is disrespectful," said Bergen County Democratic Organization Spokesman Bill Maer. "But forcing a room full of senior citizens to wait patiently while you had better things to do is just plain rude."

Oddly, it was Caliguire who in June demanded more opportunities to debate County Executive Dennis McNerney. Caliguire claimed that County Executive McNerney was "asking the public to renew his contract," and needed an opportunity to explain why voters should reelect him, (The Record, 6/20/06)

"Elections are like job interviews," said Maer. "And anyone with as much business experience as Todd claims to have should know the first rule of a job interview is; show up on time."
