Like Clockwork, Corrupt Burlco GOP Unveils "Operation Lie to the Voters 2009"

With another campaign upon them, the Burlco GOP has resorted to their increasingly predictable tactic of lying to the voters about what they intend to do and lying to the voters about what their opponents will do.

In their website unveiling press release today, spokesman Chris Russell made a comment that the site would "take many forms between now and Election Day."

"That's ironic," said Burlington County Democratic Chairman Rick Perr. "Because the GOP incumbent team also will take many forms between now and Election day."

"For example, they'll tell the working men and women of Burlington County that they support them. But, then, instead of cutting political patronage jobs, waste and corruption in Burlington County government, they push for more insider deals, deferred taxes and pensions and protection for their donors over working men and women."

"The fact is that in Burlington County it has been the Democratic Party leading the way in cutting taxes, cutting spending, creating jobs and fighting for real reform," said Perr.  "The hand-picked Republican candidates are part of the same team that has gouged taxpayers for decades.  If they think that voters will believe that the change Burlington County needs is more of the same corrupt Republican politics they will be sorely mistaken."

"The team of Conaway, Conners, Brown, Sarcone, Kersey and Bernard is committed to bringing Affordability, Accessibility and Accountability to the residents of Burlington County.  The only 'cozy relationship' that exists in Burlington County politics is that of the incumbent Republicans and the 'Paulsens 20' who have made over $30 million in taxpayer dollars in just the past few years," said Perr.  "Of course, if the Burlington Republicans want to talk about failed incumbent politicians who have raised taxes and hurt taxpayers they have a wide variety of home grown talent right in their backyard."
