In a shockingly predictable move, Tony Drollas, a founding member of the notorious “Paulsen’s 20,” was appointed Evesham municipal solicitor last night by the township’s just-sworn-in Republican council members.
Drollas, a partner in Glenn Paulsen's law firm, Capehart Scatchard Attorneys at Law of Mount Laurel, will be bringing the financial shell game that is the “Paulsen’s 20” (www.paulsens20.com) to the largest municipality in Burlington County.
"For a campaign that was run on a message of change, the newly elected Evesham Republicans wasted no time in retreating to the entrenched Republican machine politics of enriching themselves on the backs of taxpayers," Debbie Sarcone, former Deputy Mayor of Evesham and a current State Assembly candidate in the Eighth Legislative District.
The Paulsen's 20 (www.paulsens20.com) is a political version of a Ponzi scheme founded by Paulsen in which investors have made over $30 million in taxpayer-funded contracts, jobs, salaries and billings.
The addition of Evesham to the Paulsen’s 20 stable will expand the reach of its entrenched power over Burlington County and will add to its already healthy taxpayer-funded list of political appointments. In just the past two years, Capehardt Scatchard has made more than $9 million from taxpayer-funded contracts.
"This appointment has set Evesham back 20 years," said Sarcone, "Drollas could do one of those late night info-mercials and explain how to turn a relatively small investment into millions overnight.”
