Newark Mayor Cory Booker wasn't in attendance at the gubernatorial campaign kickoff of state Sen. Barbara Buono (D-18) this afternoon.
"He had the commitment to be on the Bill Maher show for weeks before they scheduled her announcement," said Booker political strategist Mark Matzen. "We told them he would not be able to be there, but he is committed to her candidacy and will campaign for her up and and down the state."
Add U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez's name to the list of Democrats around the state unhappy with the choice of Assemblyman Jason O'Donnell as state party chairman.
