TRENTON – Conservative columnist George Will was spotted walking the halls under the Golden Dome Thursday.
PolitickerNJ speculates that it’s unlikely Will, an author and journalist who was the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize for his commentary, entered the Statehouse for a sit-down with Senate President Steve Sweeney or Speaker Sheila Oliver.
A Christie spokesman had no comment when asked if the governor planned to meet with Will.
However, Christie, who is slated to appear in Seaside Heights later this afternoon, was thought to be in the Statehouse earlier Thursday.
A well-connected Democrat close to Bergen County Democratic Party politics said County Surrogate Mike Dressler remains the party favorite to challenge GOP Executive Kathe Donovan in 2014.
