TRENTON – Conservative columnist George Will was spotted walking the halls under the Golden Dome Thursday.

PolitickerNJ speculates that it’s unlikely Will, an author and journalist who was the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize for his commentary, entered the Statehouse for a sit-down with Senate President Steve Sweeney or Speaker Sheila Oliver.

A Christie spokesman had no comment when asked if the governor planned to meet with Will.

However, Christie, who is slated to appear in Seaside Heights later this afternoon, was thought to be in the Statehouse earlier Thursday.

Quote of the Day

Quote of the day

"That's state money and the speaker has never raised an objection to that, and now all of a sudden she objects to her own bill. She's objecting on a basis she hasn't objected before on the TAG Grant program. Let's face it everybody, this is just politics. It's election year and it's politics." - Gov. Chris Christie, on Speaker Sheila Oliver (D-34).
