A source told PolitickerNJ.com that the Edison Democratic Committee will put its support behind Councilman Tom Lankey this year instead of incumbent Mayor Toni Ricigliano, who's running for a second four-year term.
Ricigliano deposed incumbent Mayor Jun Choi in the 2009 mayoral campaign.
Seeking establishment Democratic Party backing for a run at a council seat in his hometown of Edison is Charles Burton, chief of staff to Assemblyman (and State Party Chairman) John Wisniewski (D-19).
