Though Gov. Chris Christie is GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney's lead surrogate, it seems Romney is not quite sure what Christie does for a living.

The latest campaign finance report filed by Romney lists $2,500 donations from both Christie and his wife Mary Pat.  But in the field marked "contributor occupation," the Romney people list "Information requested per best efforts."

It's up in the air what those "best efforts" say about the former Massachusetts governor's chances, but there's no doubt his staff is working diligently to obtain the information.

It seems Christie-brother Todd's occupation is less of a secret as Romney's finance people had no trouble obtaining that information.
