The Middlesex County Democratic Organization's support for Assemblyman Peter Barnes (D-18) for Barbara Buono's Senate seat has created movement below among those eyeing Barnes's Assembly seat.

Here are some names of interested prospective candidates for the seat currently occupied by Barnes: Highland Park Board of Education Member Adam Sherman, Edison Councilman Rob Karabinchak, Edison Councilman Bob Diehl, East Brunswick Councilwoman Nancy Pinkin, and Highland Park Councilwoman Gayle Brill Mittler.

A source close to the processes of the party organization described Karabinchak as the favorite.

Buono's decision to give up her LD 18 Senate seat to run for governor created the movement.
