Newark Mayor Cory Booker, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, went back to his hometown of Harrington Park tonight and ran through the streets on his way to tossing the coin at the local high school football stadium.
Booker's jog came two days after the death of his father, and friends of the mayor's described him as "emotional" when he went past the house where his parents raised him and his brother.
Members of Booker's state championship football team waited for him in the endzone.
